  • New client moving into Eastleigh area fantastic opportunity

  • Full time Permanent 42 hour contract + overtime available (8am to 4pm, 4pm to 11pm, 11pm to 8am).

    £10.08 per hour. Sleep in rate is £8.72 per hour (1-2 a week required).

  • Rate of pay reflect experience so please only apply if you have care or support experience and have a real passion for care.

  • Car driver preferred however applicants in Eastleigh area will still be considered

  • We are currently recruiting for our clients with highly rated, Learning Difficulties Support. The candidates we require will need to have a passion for helping others and actively want to help our clients service users to live fulfilling, healthy and happy lives.

    Every day is different you could be day to day support including medicine, community help like shopping, activities like cinema or working alongside them with occupation needs and support. Other areas can involve cooking, assisting living and dealing with challenging behaviour and possibly nonverbal communication.

    This role is a 2 to 1 basis as the service user can exhibit challenging behaviour, but full training will be provided how to deal with this and calm situations down.

    As the service user is relocating to Eastleigh from Oxford, you will be expected to work in Oxford for a couple of weeks, but transport to there and accommodation will be provided by the company for this.

     The ideal Learning Difficulties Support Workers:

  • Have exceptional communication skills

  • Ensure the service users are supported at all times, promoting a safe and happy lifestyle

  • Work well under pressure

  • Have previous professional experience in this role or a care role

  • Know and understand non verbal communication and challenging behaviour

  • Work well with an elite and dynamic team
