We are recruiting a Third in Charge for a busy, well-established nursery in Exeter. This is an exciting leadership opportunity for an experienced childcare professional who wants to support the smooth day-to-day running of a nursery while making a real difference in children’s lives.

Third in Charge what you’ll be doing:

  • Create an environment that supports the individual needs of all children
  • Maintain systems to monitor, evaluate, and improve the quality of childcare practices
  • Communicate effectively with children, staff, parents, and carers
  • Build positive and open relationships with your team
  • Ensure nursery practices meet the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
  • Support staff by agreeing and reviewing individual targets
  • Take on playroom and additional management responsibilities as required
  • Help keep costs in line with agreed budgets.Level 3 in Childcare or above (essential)
  • Experience in a leadership or senior practitioner role in an early years setting
  • Strong organisational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Passionate about providing high-quality care and education for young children

Third in Charge Pay & Benefits:
