Early Years Practitioner – Lunch Cover

20–25 hours per week (lunchtime hours)

We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner to join our friendly team in Bristol BS32 area as a Lunch Cover Practitioner. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting and inspiring young children, encouraging their curiosity, and helping them thrive every day in a nurturing environment.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Promote high standards of quality across the nursery
  • Support and supervise playroom staff in their day-to-day duties
  • Ensure staff are effectively deployed to maintain ratios and quality care
  • Implement the key person system, allocating children appropriately
  • Ensure practice meets the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
  • Provide professional and meaningful feedback to parents and carers
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
  • Promote the nursery to current and prospective parents
  • Foster a warm, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all

What we’re looking for:

  • Level 2 qualification in Childcare (or above) – essential
  • Previous experience working in an early years setting
  • A genuine passion for supporting children’s development
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
