Registered Manager – Children’s Home
Location: Grays, Thurrock
Salary: Up to £70,000 (Negotiable, dependent on experience)
Setting: Brand-new Children's Residential Home

Are you an experienced Registered Manager – Children’s Home looking for your next exciting opportunity? Or perhaps you are a strong Deputy Manager ready to step up into a Registered Manager – Children’s Home role? If so, we want to hear from you!

Our client is opening a brand-new, high-quality children’s home in Grays, Thurrock, and are seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Manager – Children’s Home to lead the service from the very start. This is an exciting opportunity to make your mark and build a home that provides outstanding care, support, and stability for children and young people.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience as a Registered Manager – Children’s Home or Deputy Manager in a residential children's setting.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and support a team.
  • In-depth knowledge of Ofsted regulations and Children’s Homes (England) Regulations .
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards it).

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage and develop the children’s home in line with regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Ensure high standards of care and safeguarding are consistently delivered.
  • Build and maintain a positive and nurturing environment for children and young people.
  • Oversee recruitment, training, and development of staff to ensure a skilled and motivated workforce.
  • Manage budgets, rotas, and resources efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with Ofsted, local authority, and legislative expectations.
  • Work in partnership with families, social workers, education providers, and other professionals.
  • Take the lead in preparing for and responding to Ofsted inspections.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and care plans in line with company and statutory requirements.
